Bullitt The Movie

The history of the Ford Mustang in movies. As an American icon and global favourite, the Ford Mustang has been used in film and TV over the years.

OK, let’s get this straight from the start. It’s ‘Bullitt‘, not ‘Bullet’ or ‘Bullit’, It’s Frank Bullitt – with two L’s and two T’s, Bullitt.

The cult film ‘Bullitt’ was centred around the San Francisco cop Frank Bullitt. The story follows ‘king of cool’ Steve McQueen, who plays Frank Bullitt chasing after the mafia bad guys after they kill a witness whilst in his protection. Bullitt also stars a young Jacqueline Bisset and Robert Vaughn.

The film is also famous amongst Mustang fans for the iconic 1968 Highland Green Mustang Fastback that Frank Bullitt famously rips through the San Francisco city hills at first being followed by the Mafia hit-men in the much bigger Dodge Charger and then chasing them in a classic and iconic movie car chase.
